Students are often asked to take internships during their study career. However, it is not always easy to find one. Starting from last summer, the Career Service at unibz implemented a new portal, called Career Hub, powered by AlmaLaurea, in order to help students and businesses to go through every necessary step to activate a training period.
First, you can get access to internship and job offers both for students and graduates. You only need to insert your cockpit username and password here, or from the section “your area”. More than 150 ads Europewide have already been posted.
In the same way, companies can register to the portal and see all the published CVs. You can indeed upload yours on AlmaLaurea, and gain more and more professional visibility.
Once you found an appealing offer (and both you and the firm are registered) you can go on with the activation of the internship. The process is almost 100% online! All documents can be submitted and approved by the university without the need for you to go in person to the Career Service. For instance, you can start an internship even if you are already abroad. Only the very last contract needs to be sent per post or brought to the office.
The Free University of Bozen-Bolzano tried to make the process smoother and more user-friendly, however, we will have to wait and see if students and businesses actually appreciate it.
